1. Who controls your information
LONDON DIGITAL WORKS LTD, registered in England and Wales with company number 17443268, is the controller for information collected through this website. Registered office: 18 Witcomb Lodge, 64 Lankaster Gardens, London, England, N2 9AJ. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
2. Information we collect
When you request a consultation or website review, we collect your name, email address and project outline. You may also provide an organisation, telephone number, website, budget and timing. If you allow marketing storage, the enquiry may include campaign details that help us understand which advert led you here.
The website uses a temporary security token to protect forms and a coded version of your internet address to limit repeated submissions. Our hosting provider may keep access and security logs. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive customer information.
3. Why we use it
- To answer enquiries and take steps requested before a contract.
- To operate, secure and improve the website based on legitimate interests.
- To measure use or campaigns where you have consented.
- To meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
4. Retention
We normally review and delete early enquiries within 90 days of the last meaningful contact. We may keep them longer if they are needed for an active project, a legal duty or a dispute. The form sends your enquiry by email. We also keep a restricted internal lead record so we can follow up, note our interactions, record the stage of an enquiry and, when a client agrees paid work, record the agreed fee excluding VAT. If you consented to marketing cookies, the record may also hold the date of that choice and the advertising click identifier submitted with your enquiry. Cookie choices expire after 90 days. Records used to prevent form abuse are kept for a short time and then removed.
5. Suppliers and international access
Our hosting and email providers use the information needed to run the website and deliver enquiries. We may share relevant information with authorised members of our trusted team when they need it to reply or complete agreed work. Access from outside the UK requires suitable legal protection.
If you allow analytics, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 (property G-3MF157GEL6). It receives information such as pages viewed, device type and, after a successful consultation, a generate_lead event with a unique lead identifier. Google Signals and advertising personalisation remain off on the GA4 Google Ads link. See Google’s privacy policy. If you allow marketing cookies, a successful consultation (after the server has accepted it) is reported to Google Ads as “Consultation submitted” through Tag Manager. For enhanced conversion measurement, the email address and optional phone number supplied with that successful enquiry may be normalised, one-way hashed and sent to Google Ads; they are not added to GA4 event parameters. If a consented advertising enquiry later becomes paid work, we may also send its advertising click identifier, hashed contact identifier, Won date and agreed fee excluding VAT to the existing secondary Won-client conversion action. Phone-number clicks are measured as a secondary on-site event only and are not the primary advertising conversion.
UserWay loads after preference consent or when you request it. Google reCAPTCHA v3 runs in the background on enquiry, review, PPC, chat and message forms. It is a security check to stop automated spam, not an advertising tag, and it is not gated on cookie or marketing consent. Google may set its own cookies for that check. See Google’s privacy policy and terms. Email remains available if you prefer not to use a form.
Optional live chat
Live chat is provided through tawk.to. It connects only after you supply your contact details, agree to contact about your enquiry and choose to start a chat. Your name, email, optional phone number and messages are processed to handle that conversation. This permission does not subscribe you to marketing. Do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in chat. You can contact us by email instead. Read tawk.to’s privacy policy for its processing information.
6. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw optional cookie consent at any time using the cookie button. Contact us using the address above. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
7. Privacy complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy complaint”. Explain what happened and the outcome you are seeking. You do not need to provide sensitive documents or identification with your initial complaint.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, make appropriate enquiries, keep you informed and explain the outcome without undue delay. You can also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office. This process does not remove your other legal rights.
8. Security and contact
We use access controls, secure transport, updates, logging and recovery measures appropriate to the service. No internet transmission is completely risk-free. Contact [email protected] with a privacy request.
